Access to technology is essential for newly-arriving refugees as they navigate life in the U.S. Everything from paying rent, to applying for a job, or communicating with your child’s school, requires technology. Arrive Ministries’ Technology Empowerment Program focuses on closing the digital divide by providing access to technology and training for our refugee and immigrant neighbors.
Through the program, clients can participate in free classes; topics include: computer basics, Windows 10, internet safety, and more. After completing six hours of classes, eligible participants have the opportunity to receive a laptop and are assisted with internet enrollment. Priority for laptops will be given to eligible Arrive Ministries clients who are new to country. One laptop will be distributed per household.
Arrive Ministries is a refugee resettlement agency providing essential services and practical assistance to refugees and immigrants to advance self-sufficiency. We mobilize volunteers, in partnership with local churches, to extend love and friendship to our new neighbors to promote thriving in a new homeland.
