Ways to get involved:

Teach English to adults with a refugee-background

English tutoring. Volunteers come alongside immigrant families to build friendship, share stories and help with literacy and English skills.

Walk alongside refugee and asylum seeking families for one year

Good Neighbor. The Good Neighbor program exists to equip, encourage and empower the church to walk alongside refugees and immigrants. Volunteers befriend refugees and asylum seekers by providing practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. This can be done as an individual or family.

Provide homework help to school-age children

Homework Help. Befriend families through the avenue of homework help. Reading, writing, math, science – if tutoring in one of these subjects sounds fun, we have many families eager for your help! Spend time getting to know school-age kids while providing practical support.

Host a Refugee Garden

Gardening (seasonal). Cultivating friendships and grow healthy food together. We seek to provide land and supplies for our new neighbors to be outside, grow healthy food, and interact with others outside their community. If you would like more information, please complete the volunteer application.
