We love watching friendships grow and mutual transformation take place in the lives of our church teams and refugee neighbors.
“They have times of discouragement, but their strong faith, trust in God’s working, and joy in their lives is inspiring to us.”
Join us in celebrating this recent summer update from a RLM team member, Jane, at Grace Fellowship Church:
“In July we had an outdoor potluck picnic with some fun playing bean bag toss on the lawn. That night included many of our Russian friends and team members and we had a wonderful time! We were able to be careful with COVID precautions.
In early August our team member, Katelyn (who speaks fluent Russian), drove to Colorado with several of our Russian friends to visit their extended family there and do some sightseeing. They had an awesome trip and it was good for refreshing Katelyn’s Russian language skills and their English!
The end of August we had another outdoor potluck picnic. Evgenii and Vitalii brought meat and their special grill and cooked shish-ka-bobs for us. We had a cake celebrating their two-year anniversary in the USA.
Many of their family members in Russia are still awaiting approval to come here as refugees. They have times of discouragement, but their strong faith, trust in God’s working, and joy in their lives is inspiring to us. Their friendship is a great blessing!”
