Welcoming the Stranger
Thursday, August 2, 8-10am
Hope Church – Richfield
Please join us for a free and informative seminar with Matthew Soerens, co-author of the recently released book Welcoming the Stranger: Justice, Compassion & Truth in the Immigration Debate.
Matthew will provide insights into the unprecedented global refugee crisis, immigration, and border security, as he helps us grapple with genuine concerns over refugee resettlement, the undocumented, and how concerned Christians can biblically and practically respond.
• Engage with others around this important, timely topic as we celebrate being pro-security and pro-immigrant and refugee
• Learn facts and ways to talk about the church’s call to welcome, serve, and learn from refugees and immigrants
• Ask questions and receive resources, and practical next steps for our call to welcome the stranger
Matthew Soerens is the U.S. Director of Church Mobilization for World Relief and the co-author of Seeking Refuge on the Shores of the Refugee Crisis.
Thursday, August 2, 8:00-10:00am (check-in and refreshments at 7:45am)
