Volunteer Opportunities

Walk alongside refugee families for one year

Good Neighbor volunteers provide practical support and life skills to those who have been forced to flee their homelands. This can be done as an individual, family or team.

Teach English to immigrant adults

English tutoring volunteers come alongside immigrant families to build friendships and help with literacy and English skills.

Teach technology skills to immigrant adults

Technology volunteer tutors teach our new neighbors how to access the internet and the basics of using technology. Whether paying bills or finding employment, refugees and immigrants rely on technology to begin rebuilding their lives.

Provide homework help to school-age children

Homework Helper volunteers meet with students K-12 in student's homes or at a nearby public space, helping with a range of subjects: math, science, reading, and writing.

Employment Mentor

Assist an immigrant neighbor as they search for jobs, update their resumes, prepare for interviews, and share cultural expectations on appropriate dress, promptness, and communication styles in the workplace. This requires daytime availability.
