The SALT 101 training will include:
- Somali culture and history – how our Somali neighbors got to MN
- Somali greetings – learning a couple of Somali words
- ESL student assessment
- Tutor tips to have a successful tutoring session
- Resources to pack in your tutoring tool kit
There will be opportunity at the end for new volunteers to fill out application paperwork, if they are ready to make a commitment. This is a free event.
