As we reflect on 20 years of Refugee Life Ministries, we celebrate the 353 refugee families that have been impacted by the Gospel through their connection to church teams and volunteers. Many of these volunteers were part of that first airport welcome that planted the seeds of a new friendship.[pullquote style=”right” quote=”light”]Our volunteers empower their newest neighbors as they learn how to live and thrive in this new place…[/pullquote]
Our volunteers empower their newest neighbors as they learn how to live and thrive in this new place by helping with job searches, driving lessons, or buying a home. In the process, volunteers are equally changed as they learn from these incredible families who remain unbelievably kind and hospitable despite the hardships and persecution they’ve endured.
Jesus called the Church to be part of this meaningful journey through his simple command to love your neighbor.
So far 1,563 refugees have been welcomed by the Church through Refugee Life Ministries.
It is our desire for more. Will you join us in loving beyond the welcome? If you’d like to learn more about volunteering through RLM as a church team, fill-out this Volunteer Interest Form.
